The short answer

What a commercial alarm system includes

A business system watches the doors, windows and open floor while you are closed. If something opens or moves while the system is armed, the siren sounds and your phone gets the alert right away. With 24/7 monitoring, the system is watched day and night, not only when you check your phone. You arm it when you lock up and disarm it when you open, from the app or the panel. iGTD installs alarms as one of the commercial security systems for NYC businesses, and they work best next to cameras.

  • Siren on intrusion
  • Door and window contacts
  • Motion sensors
  • Arm, disarm, alerts on your phone
  • 24/7 monitoring
Included in every install
  1. 01A walk of every door, window and open area to plan the sensors

  3. 03A control panel and a siren loud enough to send someone running
  4. 0424/7 monitoring connected and tested
  5. 05Phone app setup for the owner and managers

Door, window and motion sensors

A small contact on each door and window tells the panel when it opens. Motion sensors cover the open floor, so someone who comes in through a wall or the roof still trips the system. We place sensors where a break-in would actually start: the back door, the side windows, the roof hatch. Doors that need a fob or fingerprint to open get access control installation on the same panel wiring.

  • Contacts on every door and window you choose
  • Motion coverage for open floors
  • Sensors placed on the real entry points

Siren, phone alerts and 24/7 monitoring

When it trips, the siren goes off and your phone gets the alert in the same second. You see which door or sensor tripped and when. With 24/7 monitoring, the system is watched around the clock, so a 3 AM break-in still gets seen when your phone is on silent. Staff get their own codes and hours, so you know who opened the store and who closed it.

  • Loud siren on intrusion
  • 24/7 monitoring, day and night
  • Instant alert with the sensor name

Alarm and camera systems together

An alert tells you something happened. A camera shows you what. With both, you open the app, see the door that tripped and check the video before you call anyone or drive over. iGTD plans the sensors and the security camera installation on the same visit and the same cable run.

  • Check the video right after an alert
  • One visit, one cable plan
  • Footage ready for police and insurance

Commercial alarm system questions

Still have a question? Call 929-299-8400.

How much does it cost to install a business alarm system?

It depends on how many doors and windows you cover, how many motion sensors the open floor needs, and whether cameras go in on the same visit. iGTD gives you a free on-site estimate and a written price before any work starts.

What does a commercial alarm system include?

Contacts on the doors and windows, motion sensors inside, a control panel, a siren, 24/7 monitoring and a phone app to arm, disarm and get alerts.

Do you offer 24/7 alarm monitoring?

Yes. iGTD offers 24/7 monitoring on the business systems it installs, so the system is watched day and night, not only when you check the app.

Can I arm and disarm the alarm from my phone?

Yes. The app arms and disarms the system, shows which sensor tripped and sends an alert the moment something opens while it is armed.

Can staff have their own alarm codes?

Yes. Each person gets a code and set hours, so you can see who opened and who closed.

Should I get an alarm or cameras?

Both work best together. The sensors tell you something happened and sounds the siren, and the cameras show you what happened. iGTD installs them on the same visit.

Do you need a license to install alarm systems in New York?

New York State licenses security installers through the Department of State. iGTD Technology is a NY State licensed security installer.
